Gacha system
Gacha system
The gacha system in MAD is pretty straightforward, here’s a condensed version to not waste too much time on it:
- A multi is 1,200 gems, a single 120
- 3% SSR rate, 2% for the rate-up unit
- There is NO PITY or guaranteed unit on any of the banners in the game
- Any duplicate gets converted into “memories” you can use to exchange for character shards
- New accounts get a paid banner that guarantees a 3-star unit for 600 paid gems
edit: After launch, they changed rate-up units from 1% to 2%, HUGE change.
Standard banner

The standard banner has a 3% SSR rate with an equal chance getting any of the available 3-star characters.
If you do a 10-pull instead of singles, you get at least one 2-star unit.
You are guaranteed a 3-star unit after 200 pulls, but this counter resets anytime you get a 3-star.
Rate-up banner

Same 3% rate for 3-star units, 2% for the featured unit. No pity / guaranteed unit at any point.
You can exchange for the featured unit after doing 200 pulls, since you get mileage for every pull done.
Mileage carries over between banners, so you can (and should) save it for limited banners or your favorite waifus.
Memory shop

Any duplicate you get (regardless of banner) will be converted to memories you can use to exchange for shards of the units you like.
A couple things that are important about this shop:
- You can only exchange shards for units YOU ALREADY OWN
- Cost is incremental. After you buy 20 shards for 1 cost, it increases to 20 shards for 2, then 3, then 5, etc.
- You can farm shards similar to other games like Blue Archive so this is just an extra system to get stars on your units faster
