This phase has a hidden core on Kraken (pierce units can still hit it) plus tentacles at the back and front that will deal heavy damage if not destroyed.
Leaving these up will cause a barrage of laser attacks periodically that targets a single NIKKE.
They can technically be ignored at higher invesment, but be careful to not die to the projectiles.
High durability tentacles that after a certain amount of time, the boss will swing and deal team wide damage (this attack pierces cover!).
These tentacles also have exposed cores, so make sure you aim to break them with units like
Scarlet: Black Shadow
Scarlet: Black Shadow or
Liberalio
Liberalio to avoid taking heavy damage.
This is not really difficult to deal with, you MUST however bring a unit with elemental advantage to break the interruption circles.
Not being able to doing this will cause a team wipe attack unless you have really high investment on your units.
After you break both front tentacles, Kraken will inhale water and shoots it at your units.
You can (and should) cover this damage unless you have a healer in your team like
Nayuta
Nayuta or
Helm (Treasure)
Helm (Treasure) to recover afterwards.
Fires a lot of projectiles to a single unit. Kraken will do this twice with a second difference between attacks.
Individually they don't deal much damage, but if a unit gets hit by most of those projectiles, they will most likely die.
This attack will signal the transition to Phase 2 of the boss, where you have to complete a sequence of interruption of red circles while avoiding the white ones.
Breaking a White circle will cause a team wide attack and wipe.
After you complete the Tidal Wave, Kraken will switch to Phase 2, exposing its core and spawning tentacles way more often.
Mostly same mechanics as Phase 1, but with an exposed core now.
Front tentacles will become a lot easier to destroy and deal heavy damage to the boss.
